At ABC of Learning and Growing, we believe that a safe environment is the foundation of quality childcare. Every policy, procedure, and practice we follow is designed with one goal in mind — keeping your child healthy, protected, and thriving.
Secure Entry & Access Control
Our center operates a controlled-access policy. No one may enter the facility without being admitted by a staff member. All doors remain locked during operating hours, and every visitor is verified before entry. Only authorized individuals listed on your child's enrollment records are permitted to pick up your child.
CPR & First Aid Certified Staff
Every member of our teaching and administrative staff holds current CPR and First Aid certification. Our team is trained to respond quickly and calmly in any emergency situation, giving parents peace of mind that their child is always in capable hands.
Cleanliness & Sanitation
We maintain a rigorous cleaning and sanitation schedule throughout the day. Toys, surfaces, tables, and high-touch areas are cleaned and sanitized regularly using child-safe, non-toxic products. Classrooms are thoroughly cleaned each evening to ensure a fresh, hygienic environment every morning.
Health Monitoring & Illness Policy
We ask that children who are ill remain home to protect the health of all children and staff. If a child shows signs of illness during the day, parents are contacted promptly. We follow all Florida Department of Children and Families guidelines for communicable illness management and reporting.
Background-Checked Staff
All staff members undergo thorough background screening prior to employment. We are fully licensed and regularly inspected by the Florida Department of Children and Families to ensure ongoing compliance with all state childcare health and safety regulations.
Emergency Preparedness
Our center conducts regular fire drills and emergency preparedness exercises. Staff are trained in evacuation procedures, lockdown protocols, and emergency communication so that every child is accounted for and protected in any situation.
